I think I have the same problem as you. Its intermittent though. Sometimes my car runs really rich and revs are pretty jumpy.

Well after someone telling me it could be dirty gas I drove around til it was close to empty than refilled and added some "fuel system cleaner" and after about a 30 minute drive it seems to be back to normal.

 

My car did the same time befoer..
fuel filter, fuel pump or 02.

 

The car started acting up again every once in a while but my cel came on again nd these are the codes.
P1157 - manufacture control fuel air metering
P0134 - ckt sensor no signal (something along those lines)
Any suggestions of how to solve these problems or what they could be?

your primary 02 sensor has gone bad more than likely check the wiring to be safe. either caused by the bad fuel or by the fuel additive. I strongly discourage you from using them in the future. The only 2 acceptable ones that i am aware of is 1) a fuel injector cleaner tool (at your dealership) or 2) Seafoam. Do you know what I mean?

 

Yea thanks for the help I took it to my friend whos a mechanic with the codes and he also told me that my primary o2 sensor was the problem.

 

P1157 - manufacture control fuel air metering = bad primary o2. when ur at idle rpms drop like its going to die then it jumps back up? you are smelling gas because its dumping fuel to protect engine. when your at higher rpms you will run dangerous lean. get the denso, stay away from the bosch. parts store probably wont have it. take a day or two to get it. hit up an international parts store if you have one in your area. autozone/advance mark it up pretty good. under warranty take it to stealership

good news is when you change it youll mpg will be better than before it went bad because its newer and more efficient

Yea ive been driving it only when I need to if I can I borrow my sisters car but ill be getting a new o2 monday hopefully and again thanks for the help. Oh and my mpg sucks right now I didnt really calculate it but I havent gone thru gas like the past few days ever.

 

when youre at idle and the rpms drop its because its flooding it. the computer defaults to watching the rpms its seems because it cant tell a/f. when the rpms drop to 500 its like ok time to let off on the gas.
